I am a self taught programmer with 5 years of experience. I have worked on several projects, mostly involving modding games. I have gained experience in several languages (C, C++, C#, Java, PowerShell), frameworks (WinForms, Windows Presentation Framework (WPF), .NETMAUI (Multiplatform App UI)) and the Unity game engine.
I have used these skills on a wide range of projects from game reverse engineering to creating a whole story expansion mod.
Escape the Shatter
Escape the Shatter is a mod for Get To The Orange Door that adds a "4th act" to the game.
This adds new levels, new upgrades, new cutscenes, new bosses, and a new story.
Skills:
C#
Unity development (modding)
Level design
Game systems design
3D animation
Echo Navigator
Echo Navigator was a tool for Echo VR that would allow for easy access to custom servers on both Meta/Oculus Quest and PC. It also provided a server browser and match browser on supported servers (pc version only)
There were 2 version of Echo Navigator created. One that ran on PC and was able to patch the PC version of the game and the Quest version of the game on a headset connected with USB. The PC version provided a downgrader and patcher for both versions, the game was downgraded by logging in with a Meta account that owned the game and then requesting the correct version from the Oculus Secure CDN using your account credentials. Then it would patch and install the game. There was also a version that could run on the headset (Echo Navigator Standalone). This version could only patch the game with a server from the server browser. Downgrading had to be done with external tools.
Skills:
WinForms and .NETmaui
Android application development
Powershell and C#
Backend services
This tool no longer functions due to changes to the Oculus Secure CDN and scoped storage on Android. While these are fixable I have stopped maintaining the project.
VEGA Patch
VEGA Patch was a mod for Lone Echo 2 that provided performance optimization and optimizations to the loading of game assets.
Skills:
C++
Reverse engineering data structures
Using an external program to edit the games memory and patch in optimizations
Making a system to search the games memory for predicable patters to get a memory offset
This mod no longer function on the current patch of Windows 10 and 11
I have a long list of other projects that are available on my GitHub.
